What is Talk It Over
Talk it Over offers non judgemental confidential counselling by accredited male and female counsellors. This service is free of charge to all who can benefit.
Talk it Over is available to all regardless of gender, faith, religion, age ethnic origin or sexual orientation. It is caring and supportive to individuals, couples, and families experiencing a range of problems and difficulties. See About us
What is Counselling?Counselling is about helping you to sort out the confusion in your mind, look at options and arrive at workable decisions. It is not about giving advice or offering easy answers but about helping you understand yourself better, see your situation more clearly enabling you to take responsibility and to make your own decisions. Talk It Over is in agreement with the policies of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP.) We abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Counsellors are members of either the ACC and or BACP. See Links
How can we help?
Life’s increasing pressures, hurts from the past, relationship difficulties and other situations lead people to look for help. For example:-
Depression - including postnatal depression, Bereavement and loss including miscarriage. Marriage / Relationships and family matters. Self – esteem. Stress /Anxiety – work related and personal. Anger. Faith issues.
Our counselling service is located at Ballybot House (beside the Medical Village behind the Canal Court hotel – see map) in Newry. Disability facilities are available.
